I guess it was a little damp when Bruce Springsteen brought the E Street Band back to Spain for their show in San Sebastian because Bruce opened things with "Who'll Stop The Rain" before kicking in to the standard opening shell of shows on this tour.
"The Ties That Bind" and "Night" slot into a couple of the open slots in the opening that includes the usual assortment of Wrecking Ball songs and "Spirit In The Night" has become something of a staple, which is excellent.
"Does This Bus Stop At 82nd Street?" got played a few times early in the tour but had gone missing until tonight. Bruce then brought out "Adam Raised A Cain," which always puts a smile on my face and then I remember he hasn't played it for me and I get pissy. He follows that with "Prove It All Night" and "She's the One" and then destroys the good feeling of it all playing "Working On The Highway," "Shackled And Drawn," and "Waitin' On A Sunny Day."
The main set ends with a pretty cool run of "Save My Love," "The River," "Backstreets," "Badlands," and "Land Of Hopes And Dreams." I hope more songs from The Promise come out over the course of the tour but "Save My Love" is among my favorites from that set, so at least he picked a good one.
The encore hasn't changed much since the European leg kicked off and it doesn't tonight. "Seven Nights To Rock" seems to be cementing itself as part of the block, played again tonight along with the Borns ("To Run," "In The USA) and show closer "Tenth Avenue Freeze Out."
