iTunes Chart Watch: Lady Gaga Is Coming...

The calm before the horrifying storm...

iTunes Chart Watch

Savor this moment, kids. It may be the last time for a long time Lady Gaga isn't #1 on either the singles or albums chart at the iTunes Music Store. Oversaturation and shameless promotion have little meaning in the 21st century but attention whores everywhere are embarrassed by Gaga's vomitous saturation campaign.

Turning the page to actual music, I let my money burn a hole in my pocket and picked up the "soundtrack" album Rome, created by Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi. I'd heard about the project and thought for sure I'd skip it until learning Norah Jones and Jack White make vocal cameos. That was all it took to pry $10 from my hand and I've enjoyed the disc, in particular those vocal tracks.
