Lycia Announce New Album 'Quiet Moments,' First Album Since 2002

It's been more than 10 years since Lycia last released an album and that drought comes to an end in August with the announcement of Quiet Moments, available on CD and digitally on Aug. 20.

Mike VanPortfleet and Tra Vanflower have both worked on solo albums in the years between releases and have now put their creative energies into a new Lycia record, one VanPortfleet considers the most important of his career.

"This is a very personal release for me," he said. "It's the closest thing I'll ever have to an autobiography."

The personal nature of the lyrics, their challenging approach to ambient rock music, and the long span between releases should make this an album the duo's fans will be eager to snap up.

Amazon is already letting fans pre-order the digital version and the CDs will be offered on a limited run basis via the Handmade Birds label.
