More Macklemore & Lewis? Duo Holds #1, Adds Another Top 10 Song At Spotify

Some people cannot admit when they are wrong. It is with anguish and horror I admit I am not one of them. I was wrong. I wrote Macklemore & Ryan Lewis off as one-hit wonders with their insufferable "Thrift Shop" and while it was as much wishful thinking as anything else, my prediction was wrong as these two now have "Can't Hold Us" in the Top 10 of most streamed tracks at Spotify this week. Why, oh why, do you all insist on punishing me this way?

I can't bring myself to complain and grouse about the rest of what follows (but please know I am judging all of you) other than to say I'm keeping an eye out on Justin Timberlake's fortunes. The 20/20 Experience has gotten mixed reviews in its initial week of release and I'm curious how fans are going to react to subsequent singles beyond "Suit & Tie."

The UK chart differs slightly from the US chart with Bastille's "Pompeii" again leading the way followed by... well, maybe we already have our answer, another song from Timberlake's new album, "Mirrors." Critical response may be muted but maybe the fans are going to put some wind in the record's sales anyway.

My only bright spot on these charts continues to be "Ho Hey" by The Lumineers. It's not even the best track on that album but I'm glad many of you are listening to it.
