Award-winning bluesman Nick Moss and his band The Flip Tops have announced a West Coast tour in advance of the release of a brand new album Here I Am due in October.
The tour kicks off in Phoenix on August 4 and will take the band north through California, Oregon, and Washington and will also include stops in Utah, Colorado, and wind up with a date in Canada. He and Ronnie Baker Brooks will team up for the show in Littleon, CO.
Moss has been busy putting the finishing touches on Here I Am, finishing the mixes at his own Rancho de Rhythm studios as well as sending the final mixes off to be mastered. The album is due in October through his own Blue Bella Records label. Artwork, liner notes, and tracklisting are still being finalized and more details are expected soon.
The first single from Here I Am is called "It'll Turn Around" and will soon be headed to blues radio stations across the country. I've already heard three versions of this song. The first version was a full-length cut with an extended guitar solo- slide guitar, no less! The other two versions were radio edits (still with plenty of guitar, just a little less).
I won't tell you what differentiated these two efforts because as of right now, I don't know which version is going to be the single version. All three versions are great and if this is any indication of what we can expect, this album is going to blow some minds. Bet that!
Expect a slew of tour dates to be announced as further details of Here I Am are solidified and as the new single hits the airwaves.
